Jalandhar: A controversial incident has come to light in Dosanjh Kalan, the native village of Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh. Slogans in support of Khalistan were written on the wall of a house located near his house in the village. After the incident, discussion started in the area and the police have started investigating the matter. It is being told that four people who wrote slogans on the wall had reached there during the night. The landlord claims that the accused probably mistook his house for Diljit Dosanjh’s house. Police are trying to identify the accused by scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby.
What were four people writing on the wall at 1:30 in the night?
Homeowner Mukhtiar, who is a driver by profession, said that at around 1:30 in the night, he felt the smell of spray paint outside his house. He suspected that someone was writing something on the wall outside. When he came out of the house, he saw four people writing slogans on the wall. According to Mukhtiar, he objected to this action of the accused, but they immediately ran away from there. The accused could not be identified as it was night at the time of the incident. The landlord told that his house is located at a short distance from Diljit Dosanjh’s house. In such a situation, he suspects that the accused mistook his house for the singer’s house.
Will CCTV footage be scrutinised?
After receiving information about the incident, Assistant Sub Inspector Harbhajan Singh of Goraya Police reached the spot. Police have started the investigation of the matter. The footage of CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding areas will be seen so that the people who reached there during the night can be identified.
According to the police, facts and available evidence related to the incident will be collected during the investigation. After the accused are identified, action will be taken as per law. At present it is not clear who was behind writing the slogans on the wall and what the motive of the accused was.
What is the landlord’s claim regarding Dosanjh’s house?
Mukhtiyar says that his house is near Diljit Dosanjh’s house. They fear that in the darkness of the night the accused might have mistaken their house for the singer’s house. However, this claim has not yet been independently confirmed. The circumstances surrounding the incident will become clear only after police investigation.
When is Diljit’s ‘Aura India Tour’ going to start?
Amidst this incident, Diljit Dosanjh’s proposed ‘Aura India Tour 2026’ in India is also in discussion. According to available information, the tour is to start from Delhi-NCR on November 1. After this, his programmes are proposed in other cities including Indore, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Lucknow. A concert has also been announced in Chandigarh.
At present, no connection has been confirmed between the slogans written on the wall and Diljit Dosanjh’s proposed tour. The focus of the police is to identify the people involved in the incident and find out for what purpose they wrote the slogans on the wall.
