Punjab News: Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh has made a big statement on the issue of the detention of several leaders of Punjab BJP during his stay in Kapurthala on Thursday. The Health Minister said that never in the political history has it happened that a national party has acted like a state government, which is completely wrong and illegal. There are BJP and BJP-supported governments in 17-18 states of India, but nowhere is any political party collecting data of people by setting up camps like this. To paralyze Punjab, the BJP central government is collecting data of people in the name of Jan Suvidha Camp, which is unconstitutional and illegal.
Giving the example of NHM, the Health Minister said that most of the schemes in Punjab are in the ratio of 60-40. While according to the Central Government, 60 percent belongs to the Central Government and 40 percent to the State Government. While the land is ours and the infrastructure is ours, according to this, 60 percent is ours and 40 percent belongs to the Centre, but the BJP government at the Centre is not even giving the full 40 percent to Punjab.
Central Government Failure Exposed
The central government has to provide the benefit of the insurance scheme to 65 lakh people, but in reality it is providing the benefit to only 16 lakh people, which is one-fourth. Punjab has a fund of Rs 150 crore, out of which the center is providing only Rs 5 crore, while we are providing Rs 145 crore. The central government is running away from the responsibility by saying that the limit is Rs 1.5 crore. The health minister said that the central government is not paying, while it is defaming the Punjab government.
BJP Scammers, Centre Withholding Funds
He said that the central government has stopped the rural development fund of Punjab, in which former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had committed the biggest scam. He sarcastically said that at present all the scammers are in the BJP. He claimed that our government is working with complete honesty, but the central government is sitting on our funds. He said that on one hand the Punjab government is fighting a war against floods, drugs, and dengue, and on the other hand the central ruling party, BJP, is collecting people’s bank accounts and personal information under the guise of Jan Suvidha Camp, which is completely illegal.
Collecting personal information is illegal
The Health Minister said that the Punjab government has not asked to register a case against any BJP leader; legal action will be taken only against those people who are collecting personal information of people. He claimed that critical care centers are being set up across Punjab, which are not being set up by the BJP but by the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab. There are more than 700 Mohalla clinics in Punjab, and 200 more Mohalla clinics are going to open soon.
