A woman allegedly killed her husband by stabbing him at their home after an argument in Jamtara district of Jharkhand, police said on Monday. The incident occurred on Sunday night in the Pipeline area of Mihijam, which comes under Mihijam police limits.
The man has been identified as Mahavir Yadav (40), originally from Bihar, who had been living in Mihijam with his family for many years.
Dispute Over Money and Phone
Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Vikash said, “Yadav was stabbed to death by his wife, Kajal Devi, on Sunday night. The fight started when Kajal demanded money and a mobile phone from him. This led to an argument, and in the heat of the moment, she stabbed him with a knife.”
Investigation Underway
“The victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem, and his wife has been taken into custody. We recovered the knife from the scene. An FIR has been registered at Mihijam police station. She has been booked under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS),” the SDPO added.
