15-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Attacked Over Verbal Dispute In Delhi’s Mangolpuri

A 15-year-old boy lost his life on Friday evening after he was reportedly beaten by a group of youngsters in Delhi’s Mangolpuri area, police said on Saturday.

Officials stated that the boy, a Class 10 student, had an argument with another student earlier that day. Later, the same boy came back with some outsiders and confronted the victim. They allegedly assaulted him and hit him several times.

Clash started over a minor issue

Investigators believe the fight began over a small matter a few days ago and grew worse after school hours when others not linked to the school joined in.

The injured boy was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. Police have filed a case and detained several minors connected to the assault, while efforts continue to track down the other boys involved.

Police probe continues

Teams are checking CCTV footage from the area and speaking to witnesses to find out what exactly led to the attack. The body has been sent for post-mortem to confirm the exact cause of death. A further investigation into the case is still ongoing.
