Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai began his maiden foreign tour on August 21. The 10-day official visit to Japan and South Korea is taking place at the invitation of the Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), Government of India. A high-level delegation led by the CM left Raipur on Thursday with the aim of positioning Chhattisgarh on the global investment map.
Investor Meetings in Japan
From 22 to 24 August, the delegation will hold investor-connect sessions and business meetings with Japanese industrialists, trade associations, and investors in Tokyo. The Chief Minister will then attend the World Expo 2025 in Osaka from 25 to 26 August, where he is expected to meet stakeholders to discuss new investment opportunities in Chhattisgarh.
Roundtable in South Korea
In the final leg of the tour, from 27 to 29 August, CM Sai will be in Seoul, South Korea. The schedule includes investor roundtables, sector-specific dialogues, and interactions with top Korean companies and trade associations. The focus will be on forging long-term business collaborations and promoting technology and knowledge exchange.
Spotlight on Chhattisgarh at World Expo 2025
At the Chhattisgarh Pavilion, designed under Bharat Mandapam at the Osaka Expo, the state will showcase its rich heritage, innovative culture, and future-ready sectors. The pavilion will highlight industrial growth, renewable energy, IT, and sustainable development, offering the world a glimpse of the state’s transformation and aspirations.
Driving Innovation and Economic Growth
Officials said the visit is expected to open new business channels, attract foreign investment, and enhance partnerships in key sectors such as steel, mining, clean energy, and startups. CM Sai emphasized that the mission reflects Chhattisgarh’s proactive strategy to emerge as a preferred destination for global investors, thereby boosting development and job creation in the state.
