New Delhi: After the declaration of the NEET UG 2026 Result, the admission process will move on to the counselling stage.   • Candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 by obtaining the prescribed qualifying percentile
  • Must fulfil the academic eligibility criteria, including passing Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English
  • Clear the minimum age requirement
  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen, Non-Resident Indian (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), or Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)

How does MCC Conduct NEET UG 2026 Counselling?

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the admission process for AIIMS, JIPMER, central universities, deemed universities, ESIC colleges, and for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical colleges.

The counselling process will be conducted in four rounds:

Round 1

The eligible candidates must complete the registration process, pay the counselling fee, and fill and lock their preferred colleges and courses. The seat allotment is based on the rank, reservation policy, and the order of choices submitted.

Round 2

This round is for the candidates who could not get a college in the first round or wish to participate again.

Mop-Up Round

This round is to fill up the remaining vacant seats after the first two rounds.

Stray Vacancy Round

The final round is held to fill any remaining vacant seats. Candidates getting a seat in this round must report to the allotted institution within the prescribed timeline.
