Chandigarh: The robbery worth crores of rupees that took place in the house of former councilor late Mukesh Bassi in Sector-28 on Friday night has surprised even the Chandigarh Police. The servant hired in the house just 10 days ago is said to be behind the incident. The family members were out of the house at that time. According to preliminary investigation, the accused made the people present in the house unconscious by mixing intoxicants in their food and then fled away with cash and jewelery from the shelves and lockers. Even in the old election records of Chandigarh Administration, Mukesh Bassi’s address is recorded as house number 3097 located in Sector-28.
