New Delhi: There was panic on Wednesday after receiving a bomb threat in IndiGo flight 6E231 going from Lucknow to Bengaluru. According to sources, the crew received information about the threat during the final approach of the plane at Bengaluru airport. After this the pilot and crew took necessary steps as per safety protocol. The plane landed safely at Bengaluru airport at around 9:40 am.
Did security agencies start investigation after landing?
Airport authorities and relevant security agencies were informed about the bomb threat immediately after the plane landed safely. After this the plane was taken for security check. Officials began searching the aircraft as per the standard operating procedure (SOP).
Are the aircraft and passengers’ luggage also being checked?
Security agencies are also checking parts inside the plane as well as passengers’ luggage and other sensitive areas. After the threat, security arrangements have been increased at the airport. So far, there has been no confirmation of any explosive object being found in the plane.
