Nainital: Baba Neem Karauli Maharaj’s Kainchi Dham, located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, which is the center of faith of millions of devotees, is now going to be a part of the ‘Prasadam Yojana’ of the Indian Postal Department. Under this scheme, items like Baba’s Prasad (laddu), a blanket, a locket, and a statue will be delivered to the devotees’ home by post. This initiative has created enthusiasm among those devotees who are unable to reach Kainchi Dham due to distance or other reasons.
Kainchi Dham becomes part of Prasadam Yojana
Kainchi Dham, especially on its foundation day on June 15, attracts millions of devotees every year. But many devotees are unable to reach this holy place due to physical, geographical, or other reasons. The ‘Prasadam Yojana’ of the Indian Postal Department will now deliver Baba Neem Karauli Maharaj’s Prasad and other worship materials directly to their homes for these devotees. This news has created a wave of happiness among the devotees.
Action plan of the Postal Department
Marketing Executive of the Postal Department Sanjay Tamta said that speed post and parcel service will be used for this scheme. The Tourism Department has been requested to allocate a room for packing near Kainchi Dham. He said, “Prasad will be packed with hygiene and safety.” After this, it will be sent from the Nainital post office to Dehradun, from where it will be distributed across the country through air parcel.
Tamta further said that the packing will be made strong so that the prasad reaches safely over long distances. The size and price of the prasad box will be decided after the allocation of the packing room. Devotees will be able to order through a call or the website of the postal department, and an online payment facility will also be available. The postal department is preparing a dedicated number and website for this.
A boon for devotees
Sanjay Tamta said this scheme will prove to be a boon for those devotees who are unable to reach Kainchi Dham. Getting Baba’s prasad and worship material at home will be a spiritual pleasure for them. He also added that this initiative will give a new dimension to the spiritual and cultural identity of Kainchi Dham and promote religious tourism.
