New Delhi: To attract customers during the festive season, Apple has introduced Special Edition AirPods 5 in India. Their speciality is the Rangoli-inspired design engraved on the wireless charging case, which makes them different from normal models. The company has priced this special edition at Rs 17,900. It will be available in limited numbers and can be purchased from Apple’s online store, app and select six retail stores in the country. With this offering the company has tried to combine Indian tradition and modern technological products.

Apart from the design, there are no distinct changes in the hardware and features in this special edition. It has Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which the company claims is up to 1.5 times better than the previous generation. An effort has been made to make the sound clearer and better with the help of new acoustic architecture and next-generation adaptive EQ. Its open-ear design is designed to provide comfort during long periods of use.

Live Translation facility is also provided in these earbuds, which helps in understanding conversations in supported languages. However, it requires a compatible iPhone, required software, and supported language to use it. It also has the facility to increase or decrease the volume by swiping with force sensor. That means the user does not need to take out the phone every time to change the volume.
How long will the battery last on a single charge?
In terms of battery, the company claims that the total battery life with the wireless charging case is up to 22 hours with active noise cancellation on. The case has a built-in speaker, which helps in locating it through the Find My feature. The charging case can be charged with an Apple Watch charger or Qi wireless charger.

Apple’s festive offer campaign will run from October 11 to November 11, 2026. No-cost EMI of up to 12 months is being offered on some iPhones, Macs and iPads, while up to six months can be availed on Apple Watch, AirPods and accessories. Apple has also started a creative activity based on Rangoli theme with the product launch. In the ‘Draw Your Own Rangoli on iPad with Apple Pencil’ session to be held from October 14 to November 9, people will be able to create traditional Rangoli designs through digital medium. According to the company, this session has been prepared in collaboration with artist Arushi Kathuria. It is also planned to be held in some international markets.
