Lucknow: The scope of police investigation is increasing in the case of death of businessman and cafe operator Shiva Sharma under suspicious circumstances in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. His live-in partner and model Shraddha Dubey, who has been made an accused in the case, is feared to have fled to Nepal. Police suspect that Shraddha left the city with the help of her sister Rashmi and some others. Along with searching for the alleged helpers, the investigating agencies are also collecting evidence related to the incident. However, final confirmation regarding Shraddha’s arrival in Nepal and the role of other people in the case will be available only after investigation.
How did the businessman die?
Shiva Sharma died on Friday night after falling from the fourth floor of Awadh Green Apartment in Balu Adda under suspicious circumstances. According to reports, his body was found under the apartment wearing only underwear. Shiva lived in Kapurthala area of Aliganj and operated a chicken business along with a café. After the incident, on the complaint of her mother Ranjana, a case of murder was registered against Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi and two others at Hazratganj Kotwali. Police are now trying to find out what happened in the apartment before the incident and the circumstances under which Shiva died.
Who are suspected of helping Shraddha?
According to the report, the police suspect that after the incident, Shraddha had met her former acquaintances and some other people in the Chowk area. After this she left towards Nepal via Sitapur and Bahraich. The report also mentions the role of two people named Aamir and Danish being investigated. Police raided the houses of both on Monday, but they were not found there. After this, information was collected by interrogating his family members. At present the police are collecting evidence to confirm the alleged role of these people.
Why check the items found in the flat?
During the search of Shraddha’s flat, the police said that many objectionable items, medicines and other materials were recovered. According to reports, some items have been sent for forensic examination. After receiving the investigation report, the police will decide whether they have any connection with the case or not. Apart from this, call details and other digital evidence are also being investigated. The report mentions contact with some builders and famous people, but their involvement in any crime has not been confirmed.
Is the police investigating the old case also?
According to the report, Shraddha had filed a case against businessman Rizwan a few months ago on charges including molestation. The police had also filed a chargesheet in that case. Now during the current investigation, the police are also investigating the old case and the allegations related to it. However, a person’s role in an ongoing murder cannot be automatically considered proven on the basis of an old case or allegation.
