Greater Noida: A 34-year-old man died after being struck by a speeding black Thar SUV while standing beside a field boundary along a road in the Dadri police station area. The victim, identified as Navindra Singh, succumbed to his injuries late Thursday night while undergoing treatment. The driver allegedly fled with the vehicle immediately after the collision.
Police have registered a case based on a complaint filed by the victim’s brother and launched an investigation to identify the driver and establish the circumstances of the accident.
Collision Occurred Near a Field Boundary
According to the complaint filed by Yogesh Bhati at Dadri police station on Friday morning, his brother Navindra had left home and gone to their agricultural field.
Navindra was reportedly standing beside the road near the boundary of Om Pal Bhati’s field, along the route from Ajaibpur towards the Kot Canal Bridge, when a black Thar allegedly approached at high speed and hit him.
The impact threw Navindra away from the spot, leaving him seriously injured. The driver reportedly left the scene without stopping to assist him.
What Happened After the Accident?
After learning about the collision, Yogesh Bhati and some acquaintances rushed to the location and arranged to take the injured man to a hospital for treatment.
During the journey, Navindra reportedly told his family that a Thar driver had hit him. Despite receiving medical care, his condition proved fatal, and he died late Thursday night.
Police Register Case, Search for Driver Underway
Dadri Station House Officer Neeraj Kumar Mishra confirmed that police had registered a case under the relevant legal provisions based on the family’s complaint.
Investigators are working to trace the driver who fled after the accident and determine the full sequence of events. Further investigation is underway.
