A shocking incident has come to light from Balod district, Chhattisgarh. Three youths allegedly forced three local friends to remove their pants and attacked their private parts with sticks. When the victims tried to escape, the attackers tied them up, threatened them with knives, and warned them not to tell anyone under the threat of death. The incident reportedly took place on September 9 in Bhatagaon village under the Ranchirai police station area. The case came to notice when one victim’s father asked him about the incident. After the victim explained the details to the fathers of the other victims, a complaint was filed at Ranchirai police station on September 12. The police have registered a case against the accused.
Victim’s Account to Police
Tikaram Sahu, an 11th-grade student from Bhatagaon village, told the police in his complaint that on September 9, around 10 PM, he was sitting near Karma Mandir School. During this time, Indrajit Mahipal and Raj Kumar Deshalhare, also from the village, approached him and suggested taking a walk towards the field. Tikaram started walking with them, and along the way, near the house of the village Kotwar, his friends Chhatrapal Sahu, Thalesh Sahu, and Keshav Joshi were sitting. Indrajit, Raj Kumar, and Keshav asked Thalesh and Chhatrapal to come along. The three friends were then taken across the village bund pond around 11 PM.
Threats, Beatings, and Lewd Acts
There, Indrajit Mahipal, Keshav Joshi, and Raj Kumar Deshalhare started verbally abusing Tikaram, Thalesh, and Chhatrapal with obscene language and demanded that they remove their pants and underwear. Terrified, the three friends complied. The accused then beat them with sticks lying nearby and subjected them to lewd acts. When the friends tried to escape, they were prevented from leaving. Indrajit brought a piece of saree cloth used to enclose plants near the gaothan and tied the three friends’ hands. Keshav threatened them with a knife, warning them not to tell anyone at home or in the village and threatened to kill them. The victims reached their homes around 3 AM, but out of fear, did not tell anyone about the incident.
Police Register Case After Victims Speak Up
The victims sustained injuries from the beating. Three days later, on the night of September 12, Tikaram’s father Vinod Sahu learned from someone that Indrajit, Keshav, and Raj Kumar had beaten and tied up the village boys. Upon questioning, Tikaram explained the incident to his father, elder brother Bhupat Sahu, and the fathers of Chhatrapal and Thalesh. Following this, the police took the matter seriously and filed a case against the accused.
