Viral Video: Passengers traveling without tickets are seen regularly on Indian Railways. Often, these passengers occupy empty seats and, when ticket checking occurs, start arguing. One such incident has gone viral on social media, where a female passenger boarded a train without a ticket and got into an argument with railway employees when asked for a ticket.
The video is rapidly going viral and has sparked outrage. It’s reported that the woman not only argued with ticket-checking staff but also misbehaved with them. Eventually, the police had to intervene and remove her from the train.
Female passenger clashes with TTE
In the viral video, a female passenger can be seen traveling without a ticket on a train. When the TTE asked for her ticket, she retorted, “Are you blind?” She also behaved rudely with other railway employees, accusing them of mistreating her. Passengers on the train became upset and tried to reason with her, but she refused to listen.
Police had to take action
As soon as the train reached the next station, the woman was removed from the train. During this, she even tried to assault the railway employee who was filming the incident. Police had to intervene and subdue her.
Debate on social media
This video was shared on Twitter by a user named Mayank Burmi (formerly X). He wrote, “First of all, she’s traveling without a ticket. Second, her attitude, because she knows nothing will happen. This is a misuse of the law in the name of women’s empowerment! Will any action be taken?” The Railways also responded to the post, saying, “We apologize for the inconvenience! The Railways does not strive to provide such an experience.”
Users expressed their displeasure
People on social media were outraged by the woman’s attitude. One user wrote that such women know that they can easily escape by playing the victim card. The RPF doesn’t take any action because they will accuse them of harassment as well. The law should be equal for everyone. Another user wrote, “Instead of admonishing such people, send them to jail as soon as possible.”
