Uttarakhand Police have arrested Khalid Mohammad, the main person accused in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case. Officials said he has been taken to a secret location for further questioning. Khalid Mohammad was identified as the key figure behind the UKSSSC scam. Earlier reports mentioned that he even got his own sister arrested in connection with the case. Police believe he played a central role in leaking the exam papers and managing the entire operation.
Protests Erupt After Paper Leak
The paper leak has caused anger among students and job seekers in the state. On Sunday, protests took place in the state capital, Dehradun, and other areas. To maintain order, the district administration imposed Section 144 in parts of the city to stop gatherings.
Uttarakhand has faced similar exam scandals before. Several recruitment exams were cancelled in the past due to irregularities. Aspirants are asking for strict punishment for those involved and stronger measures to prevent paper leaks in the future.
Further Investigation Underway
Police in Dehradun said that questioning Khalid Mohammad could help them find more people involved in the scam. Authorities also expect more arrests in the coming days connected to this alleged paper leak case.
