Bihar Suresh Yadav, a notorious criminal from Gopalganj, Bihar, was killed in Howrah, West Bengal. Unidentified assailants on a motorcycle opened fire indiscriminately at the criminal in Sandhya Bazaar last night, killing him. People at the scene immediately alerted the police. Police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it to the hospital for a post-mortem examination. The deceased had been facing more than 20 criminal charges, including murder.
Suresh Yadav is a resident of Kukurbhukka village in the Nagar police station area of Gopalganj. He was charged with more than 20 criminal charges, including the triple murder of Samata Party leader Girish Singh, the murder of Tirvirwa Panchayat head Amarjeet Yadav, the murder of Munna Singh, a Congress candidate for the assembly in 1995, and the murder of Siwan criminal Raka Tiwari. He had been absconding for a long time in these cases and was wanted by the police. Suresh Yadav had been shot twice before, but had escaped both times.
