A speeding and uncontrolled trailer coming from Gauchar towards Rudraprayag on the Badrinath Highway lost control in Tilni town, colliding with vehicles parked along the roadside and overturning on the road. In the accident, two cars, three scooters, and one motorcycle were damaged. Panic spread at the scene after the incident. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Locals Block Highway in Protest
Angry locals blocked the Badrinath Highway following the accident. They have demanded that the administration install speed breakers and warning boards in Tilni town to prevent such incidents in the future.
Police Action
Police have arrested the trailer driver, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, and filed a case against him.
