Hunter Biden, the son of former US President Joe Biden, has been forewarned by former First Lady Melania Trump of a potential lawsuit worth over $1 billion USD. This comes after Hunter claimed that Jeffrey Epstein introduced her to Donald Trump, according to Fox News.
Lawyer Demands Retraction
Melania’s lawyer, Alejandro Brito, asked Hunter to take back the “false, harmful, and damaging” comments he made about her in an interview earlier this month on the YouTube programme Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan.
Hunter’s Statements in the Interview
Jeffrey Epstein introduced Melania, and that’s how Melania and the President met,” Hunter stated in the Hunter Biden Returns video, adding, “The connections are, like, so wide and deep.
Legal Ultimatum Given
Fox News reported that on August 6, Brito sent a letter to Hunter Biden and his lawyer, Abbe Lowell. The letter demanded that Hunter delete the video, issue a public apology, and take back his comments. If not, he could face a defamation case worth USD 1 billion. Brito warned that if Hunter did not act, Melania would have to use all legal options to recover from the serious harm caused to her reputation and finances.
Claims Called Salacious and Harmful
Brito wrote that these statements were not only false but also highly sensational, and have been widely shared online. He noted that the video had been reposted by media outlets, journalists, and political figures with millions of followers, spreading the claims to tens of millions of people worldwide. As a result, Melania has suffered major financial and image damage. Brito also said Hunter’s source was author Michael Wolff, whom he described as a “serial fabulist”, referencing a Daily Beast article titled Melania Trump ‘very involved’ in Epstein Scandal: Author.
