Tested himself before eating
A man living in China found wild mushrooms growing in his herb field. He took them home but wanted to make sure that those mushrooms were not poisonous before eating them. The man’s son, Jiang, told Chinese news that the mushrooms looked similar to the termite mushrooms found in their local store. But since they were wild, there was a possibility that they could be poisonous. But the man got greedy and didn’t want to leave the mushrooms like that. So he made a plan. He cooked the mushrooms and fed them to his dog to check if they were poisonous.
No effect on dog’s health for two days
The man waited for two days to see if the mushrooms had any effect on the dog’s health, but the dog’s health was not affected much; it just lost its appetite. It stopped eating and drinking. Jiang Sr.’s family was skeptical, but they still decided to try the mushrooms and he cooked them for his wife and son. Since they weren’t sure, they only ate a few. Two or three hours later, both of them started to feel nauseous and have diarrhea. They were rushed to the hospital, where doctors said their condition was caused by eating the mushrooms. Doctors cleaned their stomachs to remove all traces of the mushrooms. Jiang then realized that the dog was not poisoned but had stopped eating after eating the mushroom. The man is facing severe criticism online for using his pet dog in this manner. There is no comprehensive law in China.
