Nalanda News: A heart-wrenching incident unfolded late Saturday night in Parasi village, located within the Noorsarai police station area of Bihar’s Nalanda district. A deranged husband brutally beat his wife to death and, in an attempt to cover up the crime, spread a rumor that she had fallen down the stairs, hoping to avert any suspicion upon himself.
Husband Had Returned Home Just 15 Days Ago
The deceased has been identified as Rakhi Kumari (30), the wife of Manish Kumar, alias Surajbhan. The accused husband is reported to have been absconding since the incident occurred. According to reports, the accused had recently been released from jail on bail. He had been incarcerated for approximately seven months on charges of molesting a minor and had returned home just about 15 days prior to the incident.
Daughter’s Marriage Took Place in 2020
Upendra Kumar, the deceased’s father and a resident of Kariyana within the Silao police station area, stated that he had arranged his daughter’s marriage in 2020. Since the wedding, his son-in-law would frequently demand money and, if his demands were not met, would physically abuse his daughter. He alleged that his son-in-law is an alcoholic who would demand between ₹5,000 and ₹10,000 on a daily basis.
Daughter Brutally Beaten
Late Saturday night, neighbors called to inform him that his daughter had been brutally beaten by her husband and was in critical condition. She was rushed to the Sadar Hospital in Biharsharif, but she passed away before reaching the facility. According to family members, multiple severe injury marks were found on the deceased’s body.
