New Delhi: As soon as summer arrives, mangoes become a topic of discussion in every household, or indeed across the country. Everyone, whether adults or children, loves to eat mangoes. There’s hardly a home where mangoes aren’t talked about during the summer. In the latest edition of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the remarkable diversity of mango varieties found across the country.

What did PM Modi say about mangoes?

During the radio programme, PM Modi reflected on this shared enthusiasm for mango varieties found across the country. 

PM Modi praised the mangoes grown in different parts of India and explained that each region’s mango is known for its unique flavor and aroma. This is why it is called the king of fruits. It should be noted that India is among the world’s largest mango producers, with hundreds of varieties grown here
