New Delhi: Fluctuations in crude oil prices in the international market have a direct impact on domestic fuel prices. In this context, the country’s public sector oil marketing companies review petrol and diesel prices every morning and announce the latest rates.
What is the reason of price change?
These prices are determined by taking into account many factors such as global market conditions, rupee-dollar exchange rate, transportation costs, and local taxes. Petrol and diesel prices are fluctuating amid the ongoing conflict in Iran and rising tensions around the Strait of Hormuz.
What is the price?
First, coming to Telangana, the price of a litre of petrol in the state capital Hyderabad continues to be Rs 115.73. At the same time, the price of a litre of diesel is Rs 103.82. Since lakhs of motorists use fuel daily in the city, even a small change in prices directly affects the expenses of the people. However, the fact that the rates remain stable in Hyderabad today is a source of some relief for motorists.
In New Delhi, the petrol price stood at Rs 102.12 per litre, while in Kolkata, the petrol price is Rs 113.47 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol is priced at Rs 111.21 per litre. In Chennai, the price of Petrol was recorded at Rs 107.77 per litre. Among NCR cities, the petrol price in Gurgaon is Rs 102.62. Petrol price in Noida is Rs 102.09. Meanwhile, petrol prices in Bangalore are Rs 110.91.
Fuel prices in Warangal, another major city in Telangana, are also remaining at almost the same level. While there may be minor variations in the price of a single paise in some areas, there has been no significant change in petrol and diesel prices across the state. Fuel prices in other cities like Karimnagar, Khammam, Nizamabad and Mahabubnagar also remain stable.
As for Andhra Pradesh, the price of a litre of petrol in Vijayawada is Rs 117.72. Similarly, the price of a litre of diesel is Rs 105.40. People keep a close eye on fuel prices in Vijayawada, which is the main hub for commercial and transport activities in the state. There is no major change in prices there either.
Fuel prices in another major city, Visakhapatnam, are also continuing at almost the same level. Known as a coastal city and industrial hub, Visakhapatnam has a high usage of petrol and diesel. However, according to the latest prices, the rates that have been in effect there for the past few days are the same. With this, motorists across the state have not faced any additional burden in fuel costs.
