Mumbai: The content creator Apoorva Mukhija, who was embroiled in controversy on India’s Got Talent, is once again in the news. Recently, an old video of her has been circulating on social media, in which she said, “I won’t sleep with anyone for a rolw worth Rs 2, but if a Dubai sheikh throws Rs 10-15 crore on me, then maybe I’ll consider it.”
What happen after the remark?
After her video went viral, some trolls began offering her different rates, which upset the influencer. Apoorva has filed a complaint with the company of a man who offered her Rs 12,000. Following this, the man reportedly apologised to the content creator.
When Apoorva inquired about Prashant, the man who made the offensive comment, she learned that he worked as a graphics designer at the production house DNEG. Apoorva mentioned the incident to the company, and the production house responded by stating that they strongly condemn the man, although the man had ceased working with them since 2024.
On gathering more information, it was revealed that Prashant works in ILM VFX. Apoorva tagged that company and wrote, an employee of your company uses abusive language for women, is this right?
However, till now she has not received any response from this company.
What did Apoorva say?
Apoorva has shared screenshots of the messages sent by that person in the story section of her official Instagram account. Before taking legal or practical steps, in the conversation between Apoorva and that person, she said, ‘I will find out the people working with you and message them personally.’
Apurva further wrote, “You said you would buy me for Rs 12,000. I’d like to see how you do it.”
In response the man said – Do you have so much time?
Apoorva said- yes.
What about India’s Got Latent controversy?
In February of last year, complaints were filed against Apoorva in several cities across the country. On February 8, she was a judge on Sanmay Raina’s show, India’s Got Talent. She had used abusive language while reprimanding a contestant who was making fun of her.
In the same episode, Ranveer Allahabadia made offensive comments about parents, leading to a complaint against those associated with the show. Apoorva left Mumbai after receiving rape and death threats. However, after the case was resolved, she has now resumed working in Mumbai.
