Washington: US President Donald Trump has officially included the luxury Boeing 747-8 aircraft gifted by the royal family of Qatar in the US President’s special aircraft fleet. The US Air Force has named this aircraft VC-25B Bridge. Trump unveiled the plane at a special ceremony in Maryland on Friday.

The new VC-25B Bridge aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and luxury features. President Trump has called it the “flying White House”. What changes were made to Qatar’s aircraft?
The Boeing 747-8 received from Qatar has been completely upgraded as per the security requirements of the US president. Advanced communication systems, security equipment and special defence technologies have been added to the aircraft. Apart from this, major changes have also been made in the external colour and design of the aircraft.
Why is the new colour of the aircraft in discussion?
Till now, the planes in which the American President travelled were predominantly light blue and silver in colour. But the new aircraft has been given a new theme of navy blue, red and white. The American flag is installed on the tail of the aircraft, while the official seal of the president is displayed near the entrance door.

According to reports, America has spent about 400 million dollars i.e. about Rs 3,300 crore to equip the aircraft with presidential-level security and facilities. Engineers have completely redesigned the interior and safety structure of the aircraft.
