Punjab Crime News: A shocking incident has come to light in Ludhiana, Punjab, where a 71-year-old Indian-American woman, who had come to India with dreams of marriage, was murdered. Rupinder Kaur Pandher, who had come to India from Seattle, USA, had come here to marry 75-year-old NRI Charanjit Singh Grewal. But a relationship that was supposed to begin with trust ended in death. Police investigation has revealed that Rupinder was murdered at the behest of the same fiancé whom she had come to marry. The incident took place in July, but now a thorough police investigation has revealed the horrific conspiracy behind it.

What is the whole matter?

Police said Rupinder went missing shortly after arriving in India in July. Her sister, Kamal Kaur Khaira, became suspicious when Rupinder’s mobile phone was switched off on July 24th. Kamal informed the US Embassy in New Delhi on July 28th, prompting Ludhiana police to swiftly investigate. DIG Satinder Singh stated that the case has been confirmed as murder and a suspect has been arrested.

Police check

According to Ludhiana Police, Rupinder Kaur Pandher was originally from Ludhiana, Punjab. She was living in Seattle, USA, and was looking for a suitable life partner. During this time, she met Charanjit Singh Grewal, an NRI based in England, who proposed to her that she come to India and marry him. Police have arrested Sukhjit Singh Sonu, a resident of Malha Patti, on murder charges. During interrogation, Sonu reportedly confessed to killing Rupinder at Grewal’s behest and attempted to burn the body in the storeroom of the house.

Grewal promised Sonu lakhs of rupees for the murder.

Officials said that Rupinder had transferred a large sum of money to Grewal before coming to India. Grewal exploited this trust and plotted to eliminate Rupinder. The primary motive for the murder was money. DIG Satinder Singh stated that Grewal is absconding and has been named the prime suspect in the case.

The search for evidence continues, with police searching for the skeleton.

Based on Sonu’s confession, the police are now searching for Rupinder’s skeleton and other evidence. They are also investigating who else was involved in the murder.
