Noida News: A case of reckless driving has come to light in Delhi’s neighboring Noida, where a cab driver drove recklessly to escape from the police, which frightened a family sitting in the car. A video of this incident, which is being widely shared on social media, captures the chaos inside the cab, in which the sound of a scared child crying can be heard. Victim Sanjay Mohan, a resident of Ajnara Homes Society in Greater Noida West, said that when the incident happened, he was going to Connaught Place in Delhi with his wife and younger daughter. The family had booked a cab for the trip. The problem started near Parthala Bridge in Greater Noida West when they were going to Connaught Place.
The cab driver sped up
According to Mohan, the cab driver suddenly started driving at a dangerously high speed. Despite the family’s repeated requests to slow down, saying their child was very scared, the driver did not listen to them and kept driving fast.
Shocked by the incident
The victim alleged that during this time the cab collided with another vehicle, causing minor injuries to him and his wife. Fortunately, his daughter did not suffer any physical harm, but she is in shock due to the incident.
Trying to escape from the police post
Mohan claimed that the driver’s reckless behavior was due to him trying to escape from a police checkpoint. It is believed that the driver did not have all the necessary documents for the vehicle and was afraid of getting caught. When asked to stop, he chose to flee, putting the lives of the passengers at risk.
The atmosphere inside the cab
In the viral video, the tense atmosphere inside the cab is clearly visible. The child’s sobs and the parents’ repeated requests to slow down reflect their fear and helplessness. Eventually, the driver stopped the vehicle on the roadside and let the family off, who immediately got out of the cab.
People got angry after watching the video
Reacting sharply to the video, social media users have expressed outrage and demanded strict action against such behavior of commercial drivers. So far, no formal complaint has been lodged with the police by the victims. The authorities have not issued any official statement, but the incident has sparked a debate on the safety of passengers in app-based cabs and the need for strict adherence to traffic rules. The family says they are still in shock from the experience and hope raising awareness of such incidents will help prevent similar incidents in the future.
