Bihar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held election rallies in Nawada and Ara, Bihar, as part of the Bihar Election 2025 campaign. During his speech, PM Modi sharply criticised the Congress and RJD parties, saying, “Whether it’s Congress or RJD, both revolve around two families — one is Bihar’s most corrupt family, and the other is the country’s most corrupt family. Now, these two families are fighting each other. Both parties are busy pulling each other down.”
What did PM Modi say about Bihar’s development?
While addressing people in Ara, PM Modi said he had come to seek the people’s support once again. He added that the people of Bihar will give the NDA a record number of seats this time. According to him, the opposition known for “jungle raj” will face its biggest defeat ever. He stated that the NDA has presented a visionary and honest manifesto focused on Bihar’s progress, unlike the opposition’s false promises. PM Modi said the government has worked on medicines, education, and irrigation for the people. Taking a light jab, he added, “The people know everything — this is a smart public.”
What was discussed during PM Modi’s dinner meeting in Patna?
Today, PM Modi will have dinner in Patna with all NDA leaders from Bihar. The dinner meeting will focus on election strategy and coordination for the upcoming polls. Meanwhile, Congress leader Pawan Khera reacted to the arrest of JDU’s Mokama candidate Anant Singh in the Dularchand Yadav murder case. He said, “This is not the first time he has been arrested; it happened before too. Those who talked about ending jungle raj have now shown that real jungle raj exists here — where leaders are attacked during elections. Today’s arrest happened only because the Prime Minister’s roadshow is scheduled.”
How did Tejashwi Yadav and other leaders respond to the arrest?
RJD candidate from Raghopur, Tejashwi Yadav, also commented on Anant Singh’s arrest, saying, “The incident was bound to happen. The Prime Minister is visiting, and in Ara and Rohtas, a father and son were killed. Bihar is under a state of jungle raj, can’t the Prime Minister see that? Our Mahagathbandhan government will form soon. On the 14th, results will come; on the 18th, we’ll take the oath, and between November 26 and January 26, all criminals will be sent to jail with strict action.” Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya said, “Law and order are in place. Such incidents during elections are unfortunate. A case has been filed, and the police have arrested him. There is no bias in Nitish Kumar’s government — only justice.”
What are PM Modi and Tejashwi Yadav planning next?
PM Modi is once again visiting Patna to campaign for the Bihar Assembly Elections. He will hold a 2-kilometer-long roadshow and address rallies in Nawada and Ara. On the other hand, opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav will also address the public today in Muha, his elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav’s stronghold. Meanwhile, in the Mokama area, the police took major action last night by arresting strongman and JDU candidate Anant Singh in connection with the Dularchand Yadav murder case.
