Expressing condolences to the innocent people killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack in April, a large number of people on social media are demanding to boycott this match. People are appealing that BCCI and the government should have withdrawn from this match against Pakistan.

In such an environment, actress Raveena Tandon has made an emotional appeal. She wrote on her ex (former) Twitter account and Instagram story that if the match cannot be cancelled, then at least the Indian team should play wearing a black band and pay tribute to the martyrs by kneeling down. She also hoped that a minute of silence should be observed and the team should pay this respect after the victory.

Raveena also shared a news article from BCCI, which explained why India cannot boycott the match against Pakistan. Reacting to this, she raised the question that can’t we do even this much for the martyrs.

Opinion of film personalities

The opinions of film personalities have also come forward on this debate. Actor Sunil Shetty clarified that the players should not be blamed because they are bound to represent the country. He said that if I do not want to watch this match then it is my personal decision, but the players cannot be blamed for this.

Actor Zayed Khan advocated keeping sports separate from politics. He said that sports is sports, let relationships be built in it. At the same time, Sai Durga Tej expressed hope that India will win this match and said that all his prayers are for India’s victory.

It is noteworthy that on April 22, 26 civilians, mostly tourists, lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam area of ​​Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The Resistance Front, a branch of Lashkar-e-Taiba, had claimed responsibility for this attack.
