The film’s producers, Vyjayanthi Movies, issued an official statement informing them of the actress’s exit from the film. The second part of the film is expected to go on floors later this year.
What clarification did the production house give?
Vyjayanthi Movies said in a statement, “We worked with Deepika Padukone for a long time on the first part of ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ but unfortunately, we are not with her for the second part. A film like ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ requires commitment. We wish Deepika all the best for her future projects.”
