New Delhi: Delhi Traffic Police conducted a special enforcement drive from Brahmpuri Pulia to Zero Pushta Road to tackle traffic congestion, unauthorised e-rickshaw operations and improper parking. During the operation, officials seized five e-rickshaws and issued 112 challans for parking violations and breaches of e-rickshaw regulations.
Special Drive Targets Illegal Parking and Traffic Violations
The campaign was conducted under the supervision of Eastern Range Traffic DCP Shweta Chauhan, with Traffic Inspector Vikas Kumar leading the team.
The drive focused on vehicles parked haphazardly along the road and e-rickshaws operating in violation of traffic rules. Such practices can obstruct road movement, slow down traffic and create difficulties for pedestrians and other commuters.
Officials took action against violators, seizing five e-rickshaws and issuing a total of 112 challans. The enforcement effort aimed to discourage unauthorised parking and improve traffic discipline along the stretch.
How Will the Drive Help Commuters?
The action was intended to make roads more accessible and reduce congestion caused by improperly parked vehicles and irregular e-rickshaw operations.
Public roads are meant to facilitate smooth movement for all road users. When vehicles occupy road space unlawfully, commuters and pedestrians can face unnecessary delays and inconvenience. The traffic police campaign sought to address these problems through enforcement and greater compliance with traffic regulations.
Traffic Police Reinforce Road Discipline
The special operation covered the stretch between Brahmpuri Pulia and Zero Pushta Road. The enforcement team’s action was aimed at keeping traffic organised and reducing inconvenience for the public.
The police reiterated the importance of following parking regulations and traffic rules, signalling that violations affecting public roads would invite action.
