Heavy rain has begun in Delhi-NCR. Clouds have covered the entire sky, making the day dark. The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in Delhi and surrounding areas on Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain on the Ashtami and Navami days of Navratri, i.e. Tuesday and Wednesday, may bring a drop in Delhi’s temperature. According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, light rain or drizzle may occur along with cloudy skies. This may also bring relief from the scorching heat and humidity. Delhi-NCR is expected to remain cloudy on Dussehra, October 2nd. Amidst the scorching sun and heat, the rain will also impact temperatures. According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in Delhi-NCR are expected to drop by two to three degrees by October 6th. Additionally, the sky may remain cloudy on October 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th.

Rain is falling in Noida and adjoining areas of Delhi. It is expected that other areas of Delhi may also experience rain by Tuesday evening. According to the India Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 28.7 degrees Celsius, 5.4 degrees above normal. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 35 degrees Celsius. Overall, temperatures in Delhi are expected to range between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius. On Sunday, the capital recorded a maximum temperature of 38.1 degrees Celsius, making it the hottest September day since 2023. The previous high in Delhi was 38.6 degrees Celsius on September 5, 2023.

Where is it raining?

The weather deteriorated, bringing a dust storm and then rain that drenched Delhi. Rain fell in areas like Vasant Vihar, AIIMS, Dhaula Kuan, India Gate, Chanakyapuri, Connaught Place, Mandi House, Geeta Colony, Mayur Vihar, Gandhi Nagar, Noida, and Faridabad in Delhi-NCR.
