Delhi News: Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi State Convenor Saurabh Bhardwaj and former Education Minister Manish Sisodia have once again targeted the BJP government on the issue of Delhi school fees. They have launched a scathing attack on the BJP by sharing a video of a conversation between a parent and Delhi’s education minister on social media. AAP has said that even though the Delhi government is touting the school fee law as a protective shield for parents of children studying in private schools, when parents asked questions on the same law, Education Minister Ashish Sood got angry.
Let us tell you that today Delhi’s Education Minister was communicating with parents about this law by holding a town hall in his assembly constituency, Janakpuri. Then when a parent raised the question of a fee hike, the education minister got angry. He even said that those who want to go can go.
Sisodia Slams BJP Education Policy
On the whole issue, Manish Sisodia said that the Delhi Education Minister has insulted the parents of Delhi whose children study in private schools. If anyone still thinks that the BJP will not ruin the future of their children, then they must watch the video. First they bring in a law in favor of private schools to loot the parents, and when the same parents raise questions about their rights, they call them to their own house and insult them.
AAP Criticizes Education Minister’s Event
Whereas Saurabh Bhardwaj and Sanjeev Jha said that two-three days ago, Education Minister Ashish Sood organized a town hall meeting in his own assembly constituency, Janakpuri, and said that we will discuss the school fee law with the parents. We will take answers to the questions of the parents. A day before, the Aam Aadmi Party had tweeted on social media that this is just a means of publicity. Parents are not being called in the town hall; people are being called only to beat their own drum.
Ashish Sood Faces Parents’ Anger
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that when parents asked Ashish Sood questions, he said to give them in writing. Ashish Sood has not answered a single question in writing to date. He is threatening parents in the town hall and asking them to switch off their mobile phones. Police officers were also deployed in the town hall meeting, who stopped every parent from recording on their mobile phones. Is Ashish Sood’s language that of a minister? Ashish Sood is saying that I decorated the stage, and I am feeding people, so I will also campaign. I will not campaign for you. Such an attitude has never been seen before in Delhi.
AAP Opposed School Fee Bill
Sanjeev Jha said that when the school fee bill came to the assembly, the Aam Aadmi Party strongly opposed it. Also, the Aam Aadmi Party also gave some suggestions for amendments in the bill. We said that the government may have made a mistake; we are members of the assembly, so we will tell how this bill will be made in the interest of the public. We gave many suggestions. We also demanded voting on the bill.
Parents Denied Justice and Rights
Sanjeev Jha said, “I think this is the only bill in the country where parents do not even have the right to go to court.” Firstly, it is very difficult to complain against schools because parents will need 15% fees for this. Parents are saying that parents should be included in the committee with the vote of their association, but the BJP government did not take even one of our suggestions.
