New Delhi: Taking major action against Bangladeshi citizens living in India illegally, Delhi Police has arrested 10 people. According to the police, these people were preparing to go to the European country Bulgaria through fake medical visas. At present, all the accused are being interrogated in custody and the process of sending them back to their country has been started.

Arrest made from Peeragadhi area

The Foreigner Cell of Outer District of Delhi Police took this action in DDA Park area near Peeragarhi Chowk. Police had received intelligence that some foreign nationals were staying in the area even after the expiry of their visa period. After this, the police team started surveillance and caught 10 suspicious people from the spot, who later turned out to be citizens of Bangladesh.

Plan to go to Bulgaria with fake medical visa

Investigation revealed that all these people were planning to go to Bulgaria through fake medical visas. During interrogation, none of the accused could produce valid identity or travel documents. According to the police, the passport and visa held by him had also expired, yet he was living in India.

The police laid a trap like this

After receiving the information, the police team increased surveillance in the area on March 6. As soon as the police reached there, the suspects started running away, but the police surrounded the area and caught everyone. The investigation is also being done to find out whether any agent or a big network was working behind them.

The deportation process started

Police said that legal action has been started by taking all the accused into custody. Action is being taken in the matter under the rules related to foreign nationals and with the help of FRRO, the process of sending them back to Bangladesh or deporting them has been started.
