The man has been identified as Dashrath Singh Ojha, a resident of Vikas Nagar in West Delhi. According to police, he was on his way to his duty as a security guard at ESIC Hospital when the mishap happened.

Accident details

Police said they received a PCR call around 2.50 pm about a serious accident in front of Tehkhand bus depot, Okhla Phase-1. Inquiries found that Ojha, who was riding his motorcycle, was going towards the ESIC red light when a DTC bus from the Tehkhand side, moving in the same direction, hit him. The crime team was called to examine the site. Pictures were taken, and the exhibits along with the victim’s belongings were secured as evidence. The body was sent to the mortuary for post-mortem,” the officer added. An FIR is being registered, and further investigation is going on, police said. DTC has not given any immediate reaction.
