On Sunday late evening in Ranchi, Jharkhand, an audacious criminal barged into a house and showered bullets on a man. The criminal fired around 5 to 6 rounds. When another person chased the criminal, he too was shot at. As a result, the second person was also seriously injured. This incident has come to light from the Jhakhratand area under the Ratu police station limits of Ranchi.
In Jhakhratand, the criminal shot Ravi Saw three times in quick succession, killing him. Meanwhile, Balma, who chased the criminal, was seriously injured by a bullet. This incident has created panic throughout the area. As soon as information about the case was received, Ranchi Rural SP Praveen Pushkar, the DSP, and the Ratu police reached the spot. Along with them, the forensic team also arrived on the scene to collect evidence.
Land dispute suspected
The deceased was a resident of Tandwa in Chatra district of Jharkhand. The police took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem, while Balma, who was injured in the firing, was admitted to RIMS Hospital for treatment. The reason behind this criminal act has not yet been revealed, but in the initial investigation it is being suspected that the murder was carried out due to a land dispute.
Accused absconding after the murder
SP Praveen Pushkar stated that at Pradeep Munda’s house, Dadu Balma was sitting and drinking liquor with Ravi Saw. At that time an unidentified criminal reached there and shot Ravi Saw three times, killing him, and then opened fire on Balma who was chasing him. After carrying out the entire incident, the criminal fled from there. CCTV cameras installed around the crime scene are being checked. Along with this, a checking campaign is being conducted at the entry and exit points of Ranchi to try to arrest the criminal. After this incident there is an atmosphere of fear and terror among the people. Earlier, on August 10, near Bhatti Chowk in the Hindpiri police station area of Ranchi, a person named Sahil Giddi alias Kurkure was shot dead in broad daylight. After this murder, local people created a huge uproar and vandalized and set fire to the houses of several accused including a former councillor.
