Punjab News: The Central Government has announced Gallantry and Meritorious Awards on the occasion of Independence Day. Two police officers from Punjab will be conferred with gallantry awards. The officers who will be honored include Additional General of Police Punjab Muhammad Fayyaz Farooqui and Inspector Suresh Kumar. These officers have been given this award for their devotion to duty, bravery, and distinguished services.

Similarly, 14 police officers from Punjab have been awarded the Meritorious Services Medal. They are as follows.

CM Mann To Hoist Tricolor

CM Bhagwant Mann will hoist the tricolor in Faridkot on the occasion of Independence Day. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will hoist the tricolor at the state-level function to be held on Independence Day at Nehru Stadium in Faridkot on August 15. Earlier, DIG Faridkot Range Ashwani Kapoor was present at the dress rehearsal. On this occasion, the DC and SSP claimed that the district administration has completed all the preparations for the state-level celebration of Independence Day.

Ministers got district-wise responsibility

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhawa will unfurl the tricolor in Ferozepur, and Deputy Speaker Jai Krishna Rori will unfurl the tricolor in Fazilka. Cabinet Minister Harpal Cheema will unfurl the flag in Rupnagar, Aman Arora in Ludhiana, and Dr. Baljit Kaur in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Minister Sanjeev Arora will join the August 15 program in Sangrur, Dr. Balbir Singh in Amritsar, Hardeep Singh Mundia in Gurdaspur, and Lal Chand Kataruchak in Tarn Taran.

Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar will unfurl the tricolor in Mansa, Harjot Bains in Moga, Barinder Goyal in Bathinda, and Tarunpreet Sondh in Jalandhar will participate in the Independence Day program. Minister Ravjot Singh will unfurl the tricolor in Pathankot, Gurmeet Singh Khudian in Mohali, Mahinder Bhagat in Hoshiarpur, and Harbhajan Singh ETO in Patiala.
