Man Tortured for Three Days in Bhagalpur Over Theft Charge — Petrol Injected Into Private Parts

A horrifying incident has come to light from Bhagalpur, Bihar, where a man accused of theft was allegedly tortured by a local group of strongmen. The victim, Naveen Kumar of Dayalpur village, says he was held captive for two days and petrol was injected into his private parts with a syringe to force a confession. Police have registered a case against four people, including the village head, in connection with the incident.

Petrol injected into private parts

In the complaint, the victim alleged that on August 31 he was called and taken to Ajay Singh’s house in Dayalpur, where he was held captive and mentally tortured. During this time, petrol was injected into his private parts with a syringe and he was forced to admit to taking ₹1,35,000. He was also threatened with death, along with his family, if he did not comply.

Victim narrates his ordeal

In the FIR, Naveen also mentioned that he was made to agree to pay ₹35,000 to a local youth named Sonu Kumar. Speaking from the hospital, the victim said that money had been stolen from Ajay Singh’s house, and the blame was being pinned on him and others. He said he had not committed the theft, but Ajay Singh’s nephew had named him, after which he was summoned and held hostage.

Police investigating the case

The victim said that at first he did not admit to taking the money, but after petrol was injected into his private parts five times with a 10 ml syringe, he confessed. Petrol had been kept in a water bottle. Ajay Singh, however, claimed that money had been stolen from his house after the lock was broken. He said that at a village panchayat, Naveen Kumar had admitted he would return the money within a year and a half, but now that he had not returned it, a conspiracy was being hatched to frame him. Naugachhia SP Prerna Kumar said that based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered. Police are investigating the matter, and action will be taken based on evidence.
