Noida Jewar Airport to be named after PM Narendra Modi, Yogi government's decision on 25 years of service

New Delhi: The international airport in Jewar, Noida, will be named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Yogi cabinet approved the proposal on Friday. Chief Minister Yogi himself announced this after the cabinet meeting. Chief Minister Yogi said that October 7th, marking the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service, has been recorded as a glorious day in history. Uttar Pradesh has developed under the Prime Minister’s leadership, and 42 new highways have been built.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself addressed the media to inform them about the cabinet’s decision. He was accompanied by both deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, as well as leaders of allied parties. Chief Minister Yogi stated that the Uttar Pradesh cabinet today passed this resolution in honor of Prime Minister Modi, commending his 25 years of uninterrupted public service. The UP cabinet heartily congratulates Modi. Chief Minister Yogi also detailed PM Modi’s achievements in Uttar Pradesh, stating that Prime Minister Modi is leading the nation from the soil of Uttar Pradesh.

Jewar Airport will be built in four phases

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Phase One of Jewar Airport on March 28th of this year. The airport, which will be built in four phases, will become Asia’s largest airport upon completion. The first phase of the airport includes a terminal and runway constructed on approximately 3,300 acres of land. Approximately 12 million passengers will be able to travel from here each year.

CM Yogi said that when the Prime Minister visited Kashi in 2014, he said that Mother Ganga had called him. This intimate relationship, which began with Kashi, has become the foundation of the state’s development. Before 2017, the state struggled with administrative laxity, insecurity, and a lack of basic amenities. Under the Prime Minister’s guidance, a transparent and technology-based governance system was adopted. Law and order was strengthened, and an investment environment was created. With the coordination of the double-engine government, the state is establishing new dimensions of development.

42 national highways built at a cost of Rs 60,000 crore

The Chief Minister stated that 42 national highways, spanning 2,483 kilometers, were constructed in the state at a cost of approximately ₹60,000 crore. The Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun, Delhi-Meerut, and Kanpur-Lucknow expressways were completed. The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Expressway began operating at a cost of over ₹30,000 crore. Metro networks were expanded in Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Meerut, Ghaziabad, and Noida-Greater Noida.

Industrial expansion from BrahMos unit and PM Mitra Park

The Chief Minister noted that Dadri serves as a junction for the Eastern and Western freight rail corridors. More than 1,050 kilometers of these routes pass through Uttar Pradesh. Varanasi has the country’s first multimodal inland port terminal and a 100-acre freight village. In Lucknow, the BrahMos missile assembly unit, the Defense Industrial Corridor, and the 1,000-acre PM Mitra Textile Park are spurring industrial development.

One lakh crore rupees in the accounts of three crore farmers

Chief Minister Yogi stated that more than ₹1 lakh crore was transferred to the accounts of over 3 crore farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. The loans of 8.6 million small and marginal farmers were waived. Crop loans worth more than ₹13.42 lakh crore were distributed through 5.50 crore Kisan Credit Cards. Crop compensation was paid to 79.51 lakh farmers and more than ₹3.30 lakh crore was paid to sugarcane farmers.

Housing for 65 lakh families, ration for 15 crore

The Chief Minister said that more than 6.5 million poor families received Prime Minister’s Housing. Nearly 150 million people from 36.7 million ration card-holding families are receiving free rations. The Jal Jeevan Mission provided tap connections to 24.6 million rural families. 33.7 million toilets and 59,183 community toilets were built. 18.6 million free gas connections were provided under the Ujjwala Yojana. The state government is providing free cylinders for Holi and Diwali.
