Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the 25th Foundation Day celebration of Chhattisgarh, also known as Rajyotsav 2025, on November 1, officials said on Saturday. The event marks 25 years since the formation of the state in 2000. PM Modi is expected to reach Raipur on the evening of October 31 and stay overnight in the capital city before attending several programmes the following day.
Major events planned during the visit
As per officials, five important programmes have been scheduled in Raipur during the Prime Minister’s visit. On November 1, PM Modi will meet 2,500 children at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, inaugurate the new building of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris organisation, dedicate the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building, and open the Tribal Museum.
CM calls it a proud moment for the state
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said the Prime Minister’s visit is a moment of pride for all people of Chhattisgarh. “On November 1, Chhattisgarh will complete 25 successful years since its creation. This Silver Jubilee year is a celebration of our progress and achievements,” he stated.
Focus on development and peace
Speaking about the joint efforts of the Centre and the state to handle Maoist violence, the Chief Minister said, “Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have shown firm determination in ending Naxalism. The state’s strong rehabilitation policy has led to more Maoist surrenders. The Prime Minister’s visit will inspire confidence, growth, and new energy among the people of Chhattisgarh.” Officials also mentioned that detailed preparations are underway for the Prime Minister’s programmes, which are expected to draw thousands of citizens as the state celebrates 25 years since its establishment on November 1, 2000.
