In this report card, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a press conference with Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. In this press conference, she discussed all the reforms implemented under GST 2.0. She stated that these reforms have led to a significant increase in the sales of all vehicles and electronics goods.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the GST 2.0 report card on the occasion of Diwali, stating that the general public has benefited from all the reforms under GST 2.0. Nirmala Sitharaman stated that due to the reduction in GST rates, tax benefits are now reaching consumers directly. On this occasion, Nirmala Sitharaman held a press conference with Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. In the conference, she stated that the reduction in GST rates has also led to a significant increase in vehicle and electronics sales.
More money came into the hands of the general public
Presenting the GST 2.0 report card, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the government closely monitored 54 daily-use items and determined that tax benefits from GST reforms have been passed on to consumers. She further stated that the Prime Minister’s Diwali gift has successfully reached the public. Businesses have passed on tax benefits to consumers in some cases, exceeding expectations.
