In a road accident near VIPARD in the Magadh Medical police station area of Gaya district on Saturday evening, four policemen were seriously injured. The incident occurred when a police vehicle from Malaypur police station was escorting a VIP. According to eyewitnesses, due to high speed, the driver lost control of the vehicle, and the out-of-control vehicle collided with a car coming from the opposite direction.
3 Women Policemen and One Male Policeman Injured
In the accident, three women policemen—Chanda Kumari, Varsha Kumari, and Soni—along with one male policeman, Mantu Kumar, were injured. Among them, the condition of Chanda and Varsha is reported to be critical. All the injured were rescued from the vehicle with the help of security personnel present at the spot and sent to Magadh Medical Hospital for treatment. The collision was so severe that both vehicles were completely damaged.
All the policemen were residents of Nalanda district. However, it has not yet been clarified which VIP the police vehicle was escorting. Magadh Medical police station in-charge Krishna Kumar confirmed the incident, stating that the injured policemen are out of danger and their treatment is ongoing. He also said that the accident-damaged vehicle has been seized. When asked about the name of the VIP, he stated that no official information has been received so far in this regard, nor has any written complaint been filed.
