
Mumbai: Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan was admitted to the ICU of Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital following a sudden medical emergency. Dr Jalil Parkar, who is treating him, on Wednesday in a health bulletin said that he is currently on ventilator after he suffered a minimal brain haemorrhage.
Bollywood actor Salman Khan is reportedly upset after doctors at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital shared the health updates about veteran screenwriter Salim Khan with the media without the family’s consent.
Is Salman Khan really upset?
While sharing displeasure about publicly sharing the update, a source close to the Khan family told Variety India, “Health is a private matter. Ideally, no updates should be shared with the media and any communication should be left entirely to the family, if and when they choose to address fans and well-wishers.”
“Salman and his family were displeased with the doctor’s public statement and have clearly conveyed to the authorities that they do not want any further details disclosed,” the insider added.
Talking about the seriousness of the issue, the source close to the family said that, “It can be understandable that there is immense public interest in Salim Saab’s well-being, but medical information is a confidential matter. The family wants to avoid any unnecessary speculation or media scrutiny surrounding Salim Khan’s condition.”
What happen to Salim Khan?
Salim Khan was reportedly hospitalized after he felt “giddy” and experienced a sharp spike in blood pressure.
The legendary writer was on Tuesday morning rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital and later in the evening, doctors treating him said that Salim Khan was stable and under observation.
What did the doctor say about Salim Khan’s health?
While speaking to the media, Dr Jalil Parkar on Wednesday said that, “There was minimal brain haemorrhage. A procedure called DSA was done today morning. No surgery was required. He is still on ventilator. By tomorrow hopefully, he will be off ventilator. Keeping in mind the age, the time of recovery is more.”
Talking about the health problems when he was admitted, Dr Jalil Parkar (Pulmonologist) said, “Yesterday morning he (Salim Khan) was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital. He was brought in by his family physician, whose name is Dr Sandeep Chopra.”
