How did Haseena get trapped in this case?
The Bangladesh government accused ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah al-Mamun in the July Uprising murder case. When the trial against the three began at the International Court of Justice, al-Mamun turned hostile.
Al-Mamun threatened to testify against Hasina. Meanwhile, an audio recording of Hasina speaking to the police chief surfaced. As soon as the audio was confirmed, the trial against Hasina was expedited.
