
New Delhi: Amid the increasing tension in the Middle East, many people in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have found themselves in the middle of a war zone. Iran reportedly targeted US military airbases in Dubai as part of its response, due to which the city shut down its airspace, leaving many stranded in the country. Among the many Indians stranded in the country is Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan, who has appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for help.
What did Sonal say?
Sonal Chauhan on Saturday appealed for assistance from the Indian government as she finds herself stranded in Dubai due to the ongoing crisis.
Taking to X, the ‘Jannat’ actress wrote, “Hon’ble PM narendramodi ji, I am currently stranded in Dubai due to the ongoing crisis, with flights cancelled and no clear way to return to India. I respectfully seek the Government’s guidance for a safe journey home. Grateful for any support extended.”
On Sunday, the actress shared a story on Instagram and said that “I am safe and I assure you that authorities are doing their best to keep everyone safe.”
Who is Sonal Chauhan?
Sonal Chauhan is a Bollywood actress, who is mainly known for her role in the film ‘Jannat’ opposite Emraan Hashmi. Before entering the film industry, Sonal was a model and was crowned Miss World Tourism in 2005.

In a post on X, Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu shared a disturbing video that shows missiles over Dubai’s skyline.
The actor, who was visiting Dubai with his family, said in the post that the interceptions rattled their residence, leaving everyone shaken.
Along with the scary visuals, Vishnu said that the missile interceptions caused powerful tremors, adding that his family felt the impact inside their home.
“In Dubai visiting family tonight. Missiles visible in the sky. The loud interceptions shook our home and frightened little Ayra. Praying for peace. No child anywhere should grow up hearing the sound of war above their roof,” he wrote.
“Grateful to the UAE defense forces for keeping civilians safe. (folded hands emoticon). Moments like this remind us how fragile life really is. Praying for strength and Peace. Har Har Mahadev,” he added.
Where is Esha Gupta?
‘Jannat 2’ actress Esha Gupta on Sunday informed that she is currently stuck in Dubai due to flight cancellations and reassured that she is safe amid Iran-Israel tensions.
In an Instagram story, the actress wrote: “To everyone checking in and messaging, I’m sorry for not replying. We are okay, we are safe. Times are scary and very tough. God is there to protect us. We trust the @modgovuae is doing the best in protection and interception. Praying for everyone affected and all those stranded. Safety above all. Hope to be home soon.”
