Actually, recently a luxury superyacht caught fire in the middle of the sea near Ibiza, Spain. This fire was so terrible that the entire superyacht was seen burning. It is being claimed that this superyacht, worth 30 million euros, i.e., about Rs 306 crore, was engulfed in flames in the Mediterranean Sea and was completely burnt.
According to reports, in this horrific accident, all the people, including four passengers, two crew members, and the captain, were rescued safely. However, the fire was so fierce that it was not possible to control it and in such a situation the yacht sank in the depths of the sea. Luis Gascon, a captain from Ibiza, said that the superyacht sank in the water near Ses Salines Natural Park at 6:19 pm.
Although the exact cause of the fire is not yet known, it is being said that there was a fire in the engine room of the superyacht. Although initially the rescue team tried to control the fire, the fire in the engine room became uncontrollable, making it impossible to save that yacht. In the video you can see how terrible the fire was. Due to this, a terrible cloud of smoke rose in the sky.
Salvamento Maritimo shared the video on the social media platform Instagram and said, ‘A fire broke out on a ship named Da Vinci 7.3 miles southwest of Punta Gavina (Formentera). For rescue, CCS Palma deployed Guardamar Concepcion Arenal and Salvamar Naos, which also had firefighters. All 7 crew members were safely taken to the shore by Naos. The fire could not be controlled and the ship sank.
Reacting to the video, a user wrote, ‘I don’t even want to imagine that situation,’ while another user wrote, ‘Boats that do not have professional maintenance have rust in their electrical components. They should be inspected every 6 months. Buying a boat is not expensive. The problem is to keep it in good condition.’
