New Delhi: Majority of people in India have followed the custom to take bathe in the morning, especially on festivals and auspicious occasions. Many people in summers also prefer to shower in evenings. But what will shock you is that in Asian countries, like China and Japan, people bathe at night before going the bed.

Do Chinese and Japanese take bath at night?

Our eastern neighbours, China and Japan, do exactly opposite of Indians. The people there prefer to take bath after spending the day doing all the stuff. According to them taking bath late evening or night is the best.

Every country has there own style and life. Bathing traditions vary from place to place. 

Many people in America, Canada, and Europe also bathe in the morning. But people in Asian nations think that night baths cleanse the body of the day’s toxins and dirt while promoting relaxation and better sleep.

What is better time for bathing according to science?

In countries like Japan, Korea, and China, the habit of bathing at night has existed since ancient times. 

According to people of these countries, bathing at night helps to get rid of the toxins and dirt accumulated on the body during the day, and it also relaxes the body and helps in getting a sound sleep.

Korea: People in Korea prefer to take a bath in the evening after a long day of hard work to relax their bodies and ensure better sleep at night.

China: People in China prefer to shower at night, which is considered an essential part of daily hygiene. According to them, it is believed that the night bath helps relieve the stress accumulated from negative energies encountered in the outside world during the day. Additionally, it refreshes the body for a comfortable sleep at night. Climate in China is more humid and tropical, which results in sweat and bacteria on the skin. Bathing at night helps keep the body clean and also prevent the spread of infections.

Japan: People in Japan believe that when you bathe before sleeping, both body and mind are purified, which leads to better sleep. Many workers  have long and stressful days, bathing before bed helps to reduce stress and promotes mental and physical relaxation, making it easier to fall asleep.
