New Delhi: Today’s Asian Games 2026 is going to be a very important day for India. Indian players will take the field in 11 different sports. In swimming, Srihari Nataraj has made it to the finals of the men’s 50 meter backstroke event. He finished joint ninth in the heats with a timing of 25.37 seconds. Rishabh Das finished 10th with 25.41 seconds and became the first reserve player of the final.
However, in 50m freestyle, Akash Mani and Heer Geetesh Shah could not qualify for the finals.
Did India defeat Pakistan in table tennis
Indian women’s table tennis team has made it to the quarter-finals by defeating Pakistan 3-0. From India’s side, Sutirtha Mukherjee, Cinderella Das and Sreeja Akula won their respective matches.
Today the men’s team also has to compete against Pakistan. In this, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, Harmeet Desai, Manav Thakkar, Manush Shah and Payas Jain are part of the Indian team.
