Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had said that the meeting would be fixed on the social media platform X. This claim sparked discussion in political and legal circles. However, later the news came to light that the meeting request was not accepted. Saugata Roy also alleged that the government was worried about the opposition’s protests and the common people had to face problems. However, it is important to look at the government’s response to these allegations separately.

Why did Rahul Gandhi cancel the Goa programme?

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi cancelled his election programme in Goa and returned to Delhi after a student-related programme in Chennai. According to the report, their purpose was to keep an eye on the preparations for the party’s proposed protest.
