Hisar: The National Statistical Office (NSO) will conduct several surveys across Hisar district during November 2026 to collect data on employment, migration, household financial conditions and business activities. Survey teams will visit selected urban and rural areas to gather information from families and business establishments.
The field operations division of the NSO, functioning under the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, will cover Hisar city and the villages of Chaudhriwas, Kabrel, Bagla and Satrod Kalan.
Which areas will be covered under the surveys?
According to a departmental spokesperson, four major surveys will be conducted in the district during November. Their coverage has been divided as follows:
- Migration Survey: Hisar city and Chaudhriwas village.
- Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises: Kabrel and Bagla villages, along with Hisar city.
- Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS): Households in Hisar city.
- All India Debt and Investment Survey: Hisar city and Satrod Kalan village.
The surveys will collect information from selected households and business establishments to build a broader picture of the district’s economic and social conditions.
How will the collected information be used?
The spokesperson said the NSO has been collecting data on households and establishments across the country since 1950. Such information helps the Central and state governments assess employment trends, formulate development programmes and frame economic and social policies.
The data gathered through these surveys will support statistical analysis and policy planning. The department clarified that all information provided by households and businesses will remain strictly confidential. Personal details identifying any individual family or establishment will not be disclosed in published reports or statistical findings.
NSO appeals for public cooperation
The department has urged residents, families and business owners in the selected areas to cooperate with survey officials and provide accurate and complete information. It said public participation is essential to improving the reliability of the data collected through these nationwide exercises.
