Ranchi: Amid the ongoing protests by JPSC and JCCC candidates in Ranchi, Jharkhand Minister Dipika Pandey Singh made a major announcement, stating that “JPSC 14th and backlog examinations will be cancelled. We will write to the ED to investigate the alleged financial misappropriation.”

What did the Jharkhand government say?

After two rounds of talks with the students, consensus has been reached on several issues. Furthermore, in recognition of the students’ legitimate demands, an agreement has been reached to cancel the 14th JPSC exam, the Jharkhand government said.

Jharkhand Minister Dipika Pandey made this announcement after two rounds of talks with the protesting JPSC and JSSC candidates in Ranchi.

“JPSC 14th and backlog examinations will be cancelled. We will write to the ED to investigate the alleged financial misappropriation. The CID probe will be monitored by the judiciary,” said Dipika Pandey Singh on the Ranchi protest.

What did Dipika Pandey Singh say?

Minister Deepika Pandey stated that after discussions with students, an agreement has been reached to cancel the 14th JPSC exam.

About fresh round of talks between student protesters and Jharkhand Govt, Dipika Pandey Singh said that, “Continuous efforts are being made to ensure that all genuine demands of students are accepted. As far as the matter of investigation is concerned, it was accepted that JPSC 14th and backlog exams be cancelled. CID is investigating the exams conducted by TDPL.”

“We also said that if they want to have a central agency, we will write to ED about it and recommend it because there is also a financial misappropriation,” she added.

What about JSSC-CGL exam?

Referring to students’ concerns regarding the JSSC-CGL, the Minister stated that following Supreme Court guidelines, the results were announced, appointment letters were distributed, and candidates have been working for nearly a year. Since the court is involved in the matter, students have been urged to discuss the state government’s actions in the changed circumstances. He added that the CID investigation will be fully monitored by a judicial committee. These investigations will be completed within 90 days and will be processed in a fast-track court to ensure justice for students.
